What is Climate Action?
It’s action and its means of implementation aimed at developing the mitigation of and adaptation to climate change.

Mitigation means initiatives to stabilize and/or reduce emissions of Greenhouse Gases in different areas such as energy, transport, agriculture, land use etc., promoting equivalent carbon capture efforts through reforestation.

Adaptation refers to initiatives that reduce the vulnerability of people and nature to the impacts of climate change, maintaining or increasing the capacity to adapt, and the resilience of communities and ecosystems.

Implementation can be in three areas:

Technology transfer: For example, enabling the introduction of technologies to implement mitigation and/or adaptation measures, or promoting the installation or strengthening of research centers that support the technology transfer process.

Financial strategies: For example, actions that leverage and mobilize resources from different areas (public sector and international, and especially private sector) that aim to reduce emissions and strengthen greenhouse gas sumps, reducing vulnerability and maintaining and increasing resilience of human systems and ecologies to the negative effects of climate change.

The creation and strengthening of capacities that accelerate the learning curve and enable climate action, promoting education, public participation and access to climate change information.
